Why couples use Kukuva
Your photographer will take the beautiful, planned photos. Your guests take everything else: the groom’s friends getting ready, the grandmother crying at the church, the cousins on the dance floor at two in the morning. At a Cypriot wedding with three hundred guests or more, that is thousands of moments spread across hundreds of phones. Kukuva puts them in one album that you keep.
How it works on the day
Guests find your QR code on the tables, at the church entrance or on the welcome sign. They scan it with their camera, the album opens in their browser, and they add photos and videos straight away. No app, no sign-up. Older relatives manage it as easily as teenagers.
During the reception, the live photo wall shows the photos on a TV or projector within seconds. Guests see their own shots come up, and more of them join in. Written wishes appear on the wall too, and on Pro guests can leave voice messages, an audio guestbook without a telephone on a table.
Your timeline
Two months before. Create your event and choose the design: your wedding colours, a photo of the two of you, a welcome message. On Plus, turn on the countdown so guests who scan early see the days until the wedding.
One month before. Print the table cards and an A4 poster, or send the QR code to your stationery designer for the menus and the seating plan. Invite a co-host, such as your maid of honour or best man, to look after the album on the day.
The week before. Ask the venue for a TV or projector and test the wall on their Wi-Fi. Add a few photo challenges like “a selfie with the bride” or “the best zeibekiko move”.
On the day. Ask the DJ to mention the album once, after the first dance. Then forget about it and enjoy your wedding.
The week after. Look through the album with a coffee, see the most liked photos, and download everything in original quality.
Tips for Cyprus weddings
- Put a QR code at the church as well as the reception. Many guests only come to the church.
- Guests often pin money on the couple during the first dance. Make it a photo challenge.
- If many guests come from abroad, write the welcome message in Greek and English. Guest pages also speak Russian.
- Outdoor receptions: place the screen where it is shaded at sunset, and switch it on once it gets dark.
