Celebrating in Larnaca
Larnaca is relaxed, close to the airport and full of family celebrations. Weddings and christenings often start at one of the town’s historic churches and move on to a seafront restaurant, a beach hotel or a taverna in one of the surrounding villages. Because the airport is minutes away, Larnaca is also where many guests from abroad land, and where couples who live overseas often choose to celebrate with family.
Typical venues
- Waterfront restaurants and hotels along the town’s seafront and the beaches east and west of the centre.
- Historic churches in the old town and the neighbourhoods, often with a square or a garden for photos after the service.
- Village tavernas and halls in the Larnaca district, where long family tables and live music are the norm.
- Garden and countryside venues a short drive inland, popular for summer weddings.
- Hotel conference rooms for business events near the airport.
Tips for Larnaca events
- Guests from the airport. If relatives fly in on the day, send them the link in advance. They can join the album from the arrivals hall and add photos as soon as they reach the party.
- Relatives who can’t come. Share the link with family abroad so they can follow the day as the photos arrive and leave a written wish. On Pro they can record a voice message too.
- Churches and squares. Put a QR code at the church gate. Guests often take their best photos outside the church, while waiting for the couple or the baby.
- Tavernas with live music. The live photo wall works well on a TV near the dance floor. Ask the venue where a screen can go before the day.
- Breezy evenings. The seafront can be windy. Use card holders for table cards, or put the QR code on the menus.
